In 2015, Nigeria ranked third globally for the most Google searches for Gay porn ,

Nigeria ranked above 80/100 for Google searches for Pornography.

Rape porn ranked above 80/100 for searches on Google.

Nigeria outstripped America in the popularity for searches on porn .

Porn sites gets more visitors globally each month more than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined .

83% of the programs frequently watched on the television contains sexual content .

80% of 17 year old teenagers have been reported to have Masturbated.

Most of the persons involved in Masturbation are Church goers who feel it’s an excuse for fornication.

All these statistics were obtained 2015, this is 2019.

Over the years, i’ve counselled so many persons involved in Pornography, Masturbation or individuals suffering from past events of rape and the likes and I noticed about 90% were introduced to these acts in their childhood stage , age range 8 – 15years old, under the watch of their parents.

Their parents were all busy, making money, focusing on businesses etc but they had little of no time to watch what their children were doing.

So many believed because their children were all active in church, automatically they won’t know anything bad.

So many persons I’ve counselled were introduced into sexual immorality from their parents themselves , they watched what Daddy and Mummy was doing and that invented their Daddy and Mummy play, they found Porn on Brothers laptop or they saw friends Masturbating and joined etc.

Yet so many parents are too busy to see all of these.

Please, what exactly are your children still always doing with their phones and laptops by 1am in their rooms alone??

We know they might be doing things productive, but what do you know?

If you are not yet a parent, your brothers, sisters, or friends might even be victims of these acts and sincerely want to stop.

I am not advocating breaching the privacy of your matured children but they are better ways to approach them:

Most persons I’ve spoken to, always wanted to speak out for help but can’t because they fear reactions from their parents, friends or the society.
Therefore my advice, create an environment and give them the opportunity to speak to you, not as their parents or brother but as their friends.
You will be shocked at what you would hear.

These amongst others are the reasons most rape victims, don’t open up, they fear the reactions that will follow.

If your children are below 18, please monitor what they watch, what they do with their phones and the friends they follow.
